Car Diagnostics and Fault Finding in Bundaberg, QLD
What is included
What Is Included in Our Car Diagnostics and Fault Finding
- We start with what you noticed: when the light came on, and whether it runs rough cold, hot or loaded.
- A scan tool is plugged in and the fault codes are read, along with the stored conditions when they set.
- Live data is watched while the engine runs, including fuel trims, air flow and coolant temperature.
- Vacuum hoses and the intake are inspected for cracks and leaks that let unmetered air in.
- Fuel pressure is measured with a gauge, to see if the pump and regulator are delivering.
- Spark plugs, coils and injectors are tested one cylinder at a time rather than swapped around.
- The cause is explained with the readings that show it, then the repair made and the codes cleared.

How the job runs
Why the codes are only the starting point
When the light came on
Tell us when the warning light appeared and how the engine behaves: rough idle, hesitation, poor fuel use or stalling. Note if it happened after fuel, rain or a recent repair. That narrows where we look before the scan tool is even plugged in.
The reading and the cause
We scan it, watch the live data and test the part the numbers point to. You get the cause explained in plain words, with the reading that proves it, and the repair is quoted on paper before any part is ordered.
Repair and a check drive
After the repair the codes are cleared and the vehicle is driven until the same conditions come up again. At handover we show you the live readings now, and tell you what we would watch if the light ever returns.
