Engine Repairs and Reconditioning in Bundaberg, QLD
What is included
What Is Included in Our Engine Repairs and Reconditioning
- Before anything comes apart, we ask what the engine did: knocking, smoke, losing oil, overheating or going quiet.
- The engine is stripped and every part is laid out, cleaned and kept together in order.
- Cylinder bores are measured for wear and taper with a gauge, not judged by eye.
- Crankshaft journals and bearings are read for scoring, wear and any sign of oil starvation.
- The cylinder head is checked for flatness and for cracks, and the valves and seats are inspected.
- Worn parts are listed with their measurements so you can see why each is being replaced.
- The engine is reassembled to its specifications, filled with fresh oil, and run to bring it up to temperature.

How the job runs
Why the measurements decide the rebuild
What the engine has been doing
Tell us how it failed or how it has been behaving: smoke colour, oil use, a knock that comes and goes, a recent overheat. We cannot know the extent until it is apart, and we will say so on the phone.
The strip report and quote
Once the engine is stripped we measure the bores, crank, head and bearings and explain what we found. The quote lists what is worn, what is within limits, and what is unknown, with the work set out part by part.
Rebuild and handover
The engine is built back up in the order it came apart, with fresh oil and the parts measured against specification. When you collect the vehicle, we explain how to run the engine in and what to watch for early on.
